Bookstart

Bookstart works through local libraries to give a free pack of books to babies.

Sharing books with babies and toddlers is a good way to increase language skills and helps children to understand their world. The first five years are the best time for learning to talk and most of a child's language is learnt from the adults around them.

Bookstart is for every baby, but it’s also for you to get involved with your baby’s learning. Your health Visitor should give you your first Bookstart pack and after the first six months pack.
