Are you a registered Childminder or thinking about becoming a childminder? We have local resources available to you through our Childminder Networks

What are the benefits of being part of a Childminder Network?

All the Childminder Networks in Newcastle have achieved NCMA Children Come First Quality Assurance. This is a kite mark that demonstrates professionalism and the excellent skills and services that Childminders offer. The Networks advertise as a whole and, as such, have wider advertising opportunities.

What support do you receive from being part of a Childminder Network?

Network Childminders receive professional support from your local co-ordinator, including regular home visits. This helps to develop and improve your childminding practice, especially in relation to Early Years Foundation Stage quality provision and Ofsted inspections. Relevant training and practical help and advice is also provided about developing your service and getting the most out of your childminding career.

Joining a network also gives you a great opportunity to meet other childminders in your area, so you'll benefit from support from your peers, as well as your network coordinator.

For more information about coming along to a drop-in or joining the Childminder Network please contact Sarah Rutter on 0191 274 7308.
