- Childminders are self employed and provide care for between one and six children under 8 years in the childminder's own home.
- They may care for additional children aged between 8 and 15 years.
- They may drop off and pick up children from school or playgroup and may provide flexibility for overnight and weekend care.
- Accredited childminders can offer Nursery Education Funded places.
- Childminders can also become members of our Childminder Network, giving them access to further training and local support.
